Panavision has just introduced the 8K-capable 10-lbs Millenium DXL Motion Picture Camera.
In a huge collaboration with RED Digital Cinema and LightIron, Panavision has created a master-piece of a motion picture camera.

RED Digital Cinema, established by Jim Jannard and currently run by Jarred Land, provides the large format 8K sensors and internal electronics.

LightIron, a subsidiary of Panavision and is run by Michael Cioni, provides the color science and treatment to the RAW R3D video files coming out of this beast.

The Millenium DXL is said to debut sometime in 2017. More info here.
