Windows,Office - Disabling MRU lists (LNK shortcuts in Recent folder)

You can disable the MRU lists in both Windows and Office from the registry:

Open Regedit, and go to: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Create a DWORD (32) value called NoRecentDocsHistory with a value of 1.


The MRU lists in both Explorer and Office applications will now be disabled.
No restart required.
